AIOC · OOB monitoring · v1 in development

Deploying AI is easy.
Operating it is the job.

AI Operations Center is the out-of-band command center for your AI fleet. It watches every agent interaction for accuracy, tone, and drift — catches failures and edge cases, hands them to a human with full context, and enforces the permissions and policies your business runs on. Your agents keep working. AIOC keeps them honest — from outside the execution path, so watching never slows the work.

Why it exists

Who watches a thousand digital workers?

Deploying AI agents across workflows is becoming easy — operating them reliably at enterprise scale is the real differentiator. Thousands of digital workers make decisions every day. AIOC is the centralized nervous system for that hybrid workforce: the operational backbone that keeps AI reliable, safe, and aligned with business goals once it moves beyond experimentation.

01📡

Monitor

Watch every agent interaction live — accuracy, tone, performance — from outside the execution path. Zero added latency.

02🔍

Detect

Catch drift, anomalies, and edge cases as they happen — before slow degradation becomes an incident.

03🚨

Escalate

Hand failures to a human with full context attached — the customer never has to repeat themselves.

04🛡

Govern

Enforce permissions, compliance, and policy across the whole fleet. Violations never execute.

05🧠

Improve

Human feedback feeds back into prompts and models — every intervention makes the fleet smarter.

Monitoring loop — monitor, detect, escalate, govern, improve
One loop · monitor → detect → escalate → govern → improve

aoc fleet status: monitor → detect → escalate → govern → improve — every interaction, out-of-band, forever.

Surfaces

Every surface your agents touch. Watched.

Five first-party surfaces, wired for oversight. Every agent action on these channels is monitored, logged, and governable — from outside the execution path.

Five messaging channels converging into the chrome diamond core
Every channel · under watch

Google Workspace

Every agent email and calendar action on your Workspace — monitored for tone, accuracy, and policy, before and after it sends.

Email

Any IMAP/SMTP mailbox becomes a watched surface — agent drafts flagged, exceptions escalated, everything logged.

Telenyx SMS

Two-way texting under oversight. Inbound exceptions page the on-call; outbound agent replies carry a full audit trail.

Telegram

A conversational command line for the command center — review flagged cases, approve interventions, steer the fleet.

WhatsApp

Meet the fleet where your team already talks. Flagged interactions surface with full context for human review.

Monitoring packs

Teach it what to watch.

Monitoring packs built on the Model Context Protocol. Install one and the command center gains a new sense — drift detection, tone scoring, policy enforcement — no core changes required.

Packs are just code with a manifest. Encode your own oversight rules in an afternoon and the fleet adopts them like natives.

Intervention

Governance you can toggle.

Every agent capability ships behind a flag — autonomy levels, escalation thresholds, compliance modes. When behavior drifts, a human flips a switch and the fleet complies immediately — enforced out-of-band. Try the demo:

agent.autonomyHow far an agent may act before a human must approve
policy.strictCompliance mode: every action verified against policy
escalation.smsUrgent exceptions page the on-call via Telenyx SMS
drift.autoquarantineAgents drifting past tolerance pause themselves automatically
audit.verboseFull decision traces recorded for every agent action
3 / 5 guardrails live · change ships instantly, no redeploy, no downtime

Package governance like product tiers.

Flags aren't just on/off switches — they compose into oversight editions. Bundle autonomy levels, escalation rules, and audit depth into a named policy, hand it to a team, and let them operate inside guardrails without touching the deployment.

  • ▸ Roll out oversight gradually — per agent, per team, per channel
  • ▸ Kill-switch any behavior instantly if it misbehaves
  • ▸ A/B two autonomy levels on different flag sets

The foundation

Powered by Cornerstone + Cadence.

AIOC didn't start as a product — it started as infrastructure. Cornerstone, the distributed cognitive-bus infrastructure (17 IRQ-mapped channels, event-driven DAG scheduler, FastAPI control plane), and Cadence, the deep-research agent, are the side projects underneath it all. AIOC is what they grew into: the out-of-band monitoring and governance layer that watches the whole fleet.

Cornerstone architecture — chrome foundation platform with 17 channels converging into the cognitive hub
Cornerstone · the distributed cognitive bus
bus

Cognitive event bus

NATS + Redis replicated bus with IRQ-aware routing, priority-heap dispatch, and backpressure. Optional heavy dependencies degrade to deterministic numpy fallbacks — the bus keeps working offline.

channels

17 IRQ-mapped channels

Video, audio, text, memory, cognition, control, intercom, broadcast, admin hardstop, telemetry, dream, introspection, semantic, health — prioritized preemption with an unmaskable NMI hardstop.

scheduler

Event-driven DAG scheduler

Topological execution with Redis-persisted runs, timeout/retry, and pipeline / fan-out / fan-in / map-reduce topologies. Register a graph, execute, track status.

memory

Hybrid memory layer

Vector store, hot cache, stream log, and hybrid dense + BM25 retrieval — backed by real, numerically validated ANN algorithms (HNSW, IVF, PQ, k-d tree, RRF ensemble).

control plane

API + dashboard

FastAPI REST routers, WebSocket handlers, and gRPC servicers, plus a React dashboard with channels table, agent deploy form, DAG panel, and live telemetry.

verified

Tested, not promised

26/26 unit tests green, 34/34 core modules importing with zero third-party dependencies, and a full offline smoke test — bus pub/sub, IRQ hardstop preemption, DAG execution, agent lifecycle — all green.
